The Internatonal Cherif Pacha Society
The International Cherif Pacha Society has been a long term objective of Jwamer B. Mustafa. It was the result of many years of efforts by numerous volunteers to explore, preserve and bring to life the work of Kurdish pioneers of in the field of diplomacy throughout history for future generations, it serves as a centre for research and study of the work and era of Cherif Pacha one of the greatest Kurdish statesman of the 20th century, as well as other notable figures who have contributed to the development of Kurdish diplomacy, the Society is managed by a Board of Directors.
The Society has developed a broad collaboration network with Kurdish and international universities as well as research institutes, many scholars and all those interested in Cherif Pacha and his work.
The Society is in the process of establishing a specialized library with recent and rare editions, series of official publications, newspapers and magazines, diplomatic documents, treaties, albums, studies, conference proceedings. The Library has already collected thousands of documents.
The theme of the library is “Cherif Pacha”, and it comprises current bibliography and rare editions of his speeches, interviews, translations, commemorative publications, and several books.
We hope that both the library and the Foundation’s archive will become available via our website to researchers, students and the public.
The International Cherif Pacha Society on occasion presents awards to Kurdish and foreign figures who have have rendered services to Kurdish diplomacy.
