Hussein Handan Pasha

Unfortunately we do not know much about the grandfather of Cherif or how or when he came to Constantinople, we do know is that he was born in the Baban Principality and the Ottoman Sultan conferred upon him the title of Miri Miran. He passed away in Constantinople in July of 1887 and is buried in Istanbul where Jwamer B. Mustafa found his grave. Hussein would have seen his son Said become Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Empire. Apart from Said he had two other sons named Izzet and Suleman and at least one daughter.

The image is said to be of Hussein Pasha by members of the Handan family but it cannot be currently confirmed.
