Cherif in the early 1920s fathered a child with a lady who is thought to be Italian, he called this daughter Melek, very little is known about Meleks mother. Regardless of the nature and circumstances of the relationship with Meleks mother Cherif loved his daughter very much and spent the last years of his life with her, she looked after and cared for him until his death. Melek went on to marry an Italian Count having three children from this marriage.
