On Saturday 9th of May in Sweden, the Kurdish library in Stockholm hosted an event organised by the director of the Bedirkhan Academy Hamid Bedirkhan dedicated to the Kurdish national figure General Cherif Pacha, Mr Hamid led the panel and guests included vertern Kurdish politican Omar Sheikhmous, Rohat Alakom, Jwamer B. Mustafa, Jasim Xoshnaw, Baran Zeydanlioglu. Topics ranged from Cherif Pacha's background and his role in the Kurdish national movement as well as his influence on on modern Kurdish diplomacy. A video was shown of the 17th Bedirkhan Academy festival held in Italy and a question and answer session provided the opportunity for audience members to ask panelists about Cherif Pacha's life and work.
